There will be no Info Night for Cruel Intentions: The ‘90s Musical. Please refer below for any information necessary. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our Co-Producer at kaeryennemalette@gmail.com and the team will get back to you.

 

Auditions:

  • On the nights of auditions, the first group will be seen at 7:00 PM. Doors will open at 6:00 PM to begin learning the dance.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to audition (Cruel Intentions contains themes that are not suitable for teens and children)
  • Please come prepared with 16-32 bars of music. An accompanist will be provided. We ask that you come prepared with a copy of sheet music if you’d like to sing with the accompanist. If you wish to sing with a track we welcome you to come prepared with it. Please do not plan to sing acapella.
  • No monologue will be required for the acting portion of the audition. If you are auditioning for a specific role, you will be asked to read from the provided script
  • The dance audition will consist of technical movement in order to determine energy and skill level. Please come dressed in comfortable clothes and shoes (and also keeping in mind that it could be hot!)
  • Callbacks will be announced upon determination of their necessity
  • Audition forms will be provided at the time of audition or can be filled out in advance. Please accompany your form with a copy of your resume. If you’d like to submit your audition form ahead of time, it can be found here: CI audition form and e-mailed to kaeryennemalette@gmail.com.
  • If you are unable to audition in person, please reach out to kaeryennemalette@gmail.com for instruction and details for a video audition

 

Rehearsals:

  • Rehearsals will be held at Actorsingers Hall on Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday nights
  • First rehearsal schedule will be e-mailed out upon casting
  • Tech week will take place from Sunday August 21st through Friday August 25th and nightly attendance is mandatory

Actorsingers membership fee
If you are cast in this show, in order to appear on stage you must be an Actorsingers member.   Actorsingers membership fee is $20 per year for an individual, $30 per year for a family.

We are unfortunately still living through the COVID-19 pandemic. While masks will be optional, we ask that you remain mindful of yourself and those around you. Your health and safety will remain a top priority to the team at all times.

Reminder to the membership: our Semi-Annual Meeting will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022, at 7:00PM.

Due to the current Covid situation in NH we plan to meet via Zoom that night and will send sign up info via email prior to the meeting. All are welcome to attend; however you must be a paid member to be able to vote. If you are not a life member, you must pay dues no later than 10 days prior to the meeting.

Call for Proposals – Teen Show 2022

The Actorsingers are looking for interested directing teams to propose a musical Teen Show at the Court Street Theatre July 15th to the 17th, 2022.

Teen Actorsingers shows are open to teens from ages 13 to 19 and are an important part of our educational offerings. The Teens are an energetic group and are always fun to work with. They have great enthusiasm for theatre arts and need an upbeat team to lead them.

Teams who are interested in proposing a Teen Show should include the following in their submissions.

  • The name of the proposed show
  • Resumes of the proposed directorial team
  • Along with the other proposal specifics listed here

Your team’s proposal and team resumes must be submitted using this Google submission form no later than 11:59 on Tuesday, January 4th. Applicants will be given an interview time for the evening of Thursday, January 6th after 7pm.

The Actorsingers are looking for interested teams to propose a musical Junior Show for next year. Court Street dates are March 6th to the 13th, 2022. Court Street currently has mandates in place requiring mask use and social distancing. The available audience seats are also limited to 133.

Junior Actorsingers shows are open to kids in grades 3 to 8 and are an important part of our offerings to nurture the next generation of Actorsingers. Some of our now adult members started onstage in the program.

Make/Shift auditions

The Actorsingers of Nashua NH are excited to return to the stage this Fall.  We are looking for a cast of actors and creative writers interested in a unique opportunity to participate in a show where the participants, led by the experienced creative team, craft a one of a kind production.

PREMISE
A group of actors return to a theatre that was abandoned in March 2020 just prior to the opening of their show. Tasked with the cleanup of their space, a community reunites and shares what has kept them busy for the last year during the Covid-19 lock downs. What they have lost, what they have gained, and what they hope for the future both on-stage and off.

PROCESS
This unique project will be devised with the actors and the production team. Emily and Jacob will lead the ensemble through workshops that use their personal stories to develop the script. A sense of humor, flexibility, eagerness, and bravery are required for all participants.

PRODUCTION
Rehearsals will take place 2-3x a week at Actorsingers Hall. Two during weeknights and one on the weekend. Actors should be prepared to be called to all rehearsals due to the ensemble nature of the process. 

Tech week will be October 30th-November 4th 2021

Performances will take place at the Court Street Theatre in Nashua, NH
November 5th, 6th and 7th 2021

-Under 2 Minute Monologue
-Under 2 Minute dance or movement piece

 Auditioners will also partake in a brief and informal interview with the artistic team. For those submitting a digital submission, we ask that in addition to your artistic submission you film a brief introduction telling us a little about yourself. What do you do for work? Family life?  What is your favorite show that you have ever done or seen? Anything is on the table. Just give us a look into who you are! As little or as much as you would like to share!

Covid safety – due to the ever changing guidelines, we will plan to have socially distanced rehearsals, recommend that all involved wear masks, and will only call people to rehearsal who are needed.  We will also ask the cast/production team to spend the last 10 minutes of rehearsal time to clean/wipe down the space.  We have masks and hand sanitizer available at the Hall.

 

Call for Proposals – Fall Show 2021

The Board of Directors is looking to the Spring of 2022 to mount our comeback Mainstage show. We are also considering options to return to the stage this Fall with a smaller scale production. If you have an idea for a show to do this fall (small musical, review/cabaret, comedy/improv, staged readings, fundraiser, etc.) here is what you need to do.
Teams who are interested in proposing a Fall Production should include the following in their submissions.
  • The name of the proposed show
  • Resumes of the proposed directorial team
  • Name of proposed producer
  • Along with the other proposal specifics listed here
Tentative dates are November 5th, 6th and 7th at either the Keefe Auditorium or Court Street Theatre. Your team’s proposal and team resumes must be submitted using this Google submission form no later than 11:59 on Tuesday evening, June 29th. Applicants will be given an interview time for the evening of Thursday, July 1st after 7pm.
