Flustercluck! The Real Henhousewives of New Jersey is an absurdist comedy following the antics and exploits of the hens of Villa Roosta, a humble yet successful diversified hobby farm on the outskirts of bucolic Shamong, New Jersey.
While on the surface an absurdist parody of a popular television franchise, performed by chickens, of course, this show is far more than it's, ahem, cracked up to be, and explores the deeper themes of self-doubt, self-discovery, female empowerment, and smashing the patriarchy. Imagine that.
Oh, plus there's a whole boatload of cattiness, chicken yoga, high-functioning anxiety, fowl language, inexplicable Scottish colloquialisms, ninja combat, suggestive situations, interspecies relations, and, of course, a rambunctious herd of feckin' goats.
