Information Night
- Virtual information night on Thursday, January 25th 7:00pm - 8:00pm
- We will introduce the creative team, discuss the show synopsis, what to prepare for auditions, and the rehearsal schedule.
- Questions will be taken during this time. If you cannot attend the info night or have pressing questions, please email [email protected] and a member of our team will get back to you.
Auditions
- You must be between 8 - 14 years old to audition.
- On Thursday and Friday night, the first group will be seen at 7:00pm. Doors open at 6:00pm to begin learning the dance.
- Please come prepared with 16 - 32 bars of music to sing in a style that best suits your voice. An accompanist will be provided for those with sheet music, and a speaker will be provided for karaoke soundtracks. Please do not plan to sing acapella.
- Sides from the script will be provided in the audition. Please be prepared to do a cold read from the script.
- Please come dressed in comfortable clothes and shoes for the dance audition.
- Callbacks will occur if needed on Saturday, February 3rd 10:00am to 12:00pm. Please be ready to answer a phone call from the team on Friday night if we want to call you back.
- No callback does not mean you are not being considered for roles. Callbacks will be for if the team needs additional information to make casting decisions.
- An audition form will be provided at the time of the audition or can be filled out in advance. Please accompany your form with either a resume or list of prior experience. If you’d like to fill out your audition form ahead of time, it can be found here.
- If you are unable to attend auditions in person, please submit a video audition to [email protected]. Please include an introduction of yourself and your song.
- Deadlines for online submissions are Friday, February 2nd at 8:30pm.
Rehearsals
- Rehearsals will be held at Actorsingers Hall on Thursdays and Fridays from 6:00pm - 8:30pm.
- The first rehearsal will be Thursday, February 8th, and the first rehearsal schedule will be emailed out upon casting.
- Tech week will be from Sunday, April 7th through Thursday, April 11th. Attendance is mandatory.

Edwina Spoonapple
- Edwina is the star… of her very own show! She’s got a talent for giving advice; she’s spunky, smart, and totally comfortable running the show.

Becky
- Becky is Edwina’s friend and head cheerleader of the Paw Paw Wildcats. Becky and the other cheerleaders must work together to raise the spirits of the show’s audience!

Kelli
- Kelli is the prima ballerina in town. Every moment she is not onstage or focused on the off-stage drama, she is stretching or strengthening her dance technique.

Scott
- Scott is Edwina’s friend who wants more than friendship… he’s in love! Scott has chosen the day of the show to profess his love for Edwina and struggles to do so throughout the performance.

Annie
- Annie is a tried-and-true Girl Scout - she’s always ready in case of an emergency. She has a can-do attitude and an eagerness to be as helpful as possible

Billy
- One of the Vanderploonk triplets. Billy is a part of the show’s crew, and his main objective is to make sure the performance is filmed.

Cordell
- One of the Vanderploonk triplets. Cordell is on headset, making sure everyone is where they need to be for the show.

Lars
- One of the Vanderploonk triplets. Lars has a tendency to crash into things, and ends up injuring himself before the show goes up.
Bobby
- Bobby is the new kid in town, but he’s quickly recruited after Lars’ injury renders him unable to perform. At first he is hesitant, but eventually rises to the occasion!
Katie Spoonapple
- Katie is Edwina’s sister. She’s an extraordinary math expert but still needs some convincing to realize her own worth. She is talked about throughout the show, and appears at the end.
Letter Writers
Aphrodite
- She writes the first letter, and has a big problem: her brother Aristotle is an obnoxiously picky eater.

Abigail
- She writes the second letter about her brother, who makes all sorts of distasteful sounds and is an all-around bummer.

Carrie
- She writes to Edwina asking for advice about to properly set her grandmothers table.

Periwinkle
- She writes to Edwina asking for advice about moving to another country, and is scared to make a whole new set of friends.

Ziggy
- Ziggy is the outgoing leader of a steel drum band who writes to Edwina about advice on how to save money.

- Appears in the song “Say No Thank You” with Johnny as her guest. She offers Johnny a variety of foods for him to try.

Vladimir
- Edwina’s uncle from Transylvania who sings the song “Frankenguest”. He tells the tale of a boy named Frank who was a troublesome guest at a birthday party.

Frank
- Frank appears in the song “Frankenguest” as an unruly, attention-hungry, spoiled ghoul.
Frank’s Ma
- She is a cameo role that appears in “Frankenguest” who tries to defend her son.
Chef Ludmilla
- This chef appears in the song “Fork, Knife, Spoon” and cannot figure out how to set the table.

Fairy Forkmother
- She appears in the song “Fork, Knife, Spoon” and arrives in the nick of time to help Chef Ludmilla set the table.

- Appear in the song “Fork, Knife, Spoon” as Fairy Forkmother’s assistants

Lola
- Lola appears in the song “Hola, Lola” as a timid girl who travels to her cousin’s birthday party. Lola speaks Spanish during the song.

- Harry appears in “Hola, Lola” as Lola’s warm-hearted cousin from Hawaii.

Mary Sue Betty Bob
- Mary Sue is Edwina’s fifth cousin twice removed and sings the song “Put It In The Piggy”. She tells a tale about saving money.
