Occasionally, on this page, we will update you on the whereabouts and happenings with present and former Actorsingers. How many degrees of separation are you from this one?
Alexandra Socha
She was a Nashua Peacock Player for many years, a regular seen in their productions and notably so. I remember Bob Stuart of the Concord Players mentioning to me once, after seeing her as the Kolokolo Bird in Just So, “she has that spark, that something that is so rare.” She was awarded “Best Actress in a Musical (Community Division)" for that portrayal in 2005. That spark lit the fire and sent her up for the bigger stage with the Actorsingers.
She came to the Actorsingers later that same year as Dorothy Brock, the young Broadway bound starlet-to-be in the Actorsingers’ 2005 version of 42nd Street. Here’s her program Bio!
Here she opens Act II with the ever-rousing 42nd Street!
After that, she appeared with us in Cats as Jemima where she sings Memory in 2006.
She didn’t even finish high school before she was on Broadway in Spring Awakening. She’s been working steadily since!
And now, on March 5th, she is taking on the part of Glinda in the Broadway production of Wicked!!! See posts here and here.
Everyone give a rousing cheer for Nashua’s own Alexandra Socha!
