AUDITIONS
Where: Actorsingers Hall (219 Lake Street, Nashua, NH)

Audition requirements
- All performers must be 18+ at the time of their audition.
- Please come prepared to learn the dance combination and dress accordingly.
- Please fill out your audition form and note any conflicts prior to your arrival.

Audition and Dance Details
Doors will open at 6pm to learn the audition choreography. Small groups will be brought in to perform both the dance combination and vocal cuts for the audition board. There will be no callbacks, but individuals may be held momentarily after their groups for any follow up questions or vocal range checks.
Vocal Audition Details
Please select a provided music cut from the show below OR prepare any 16-32 bar cut in the style of the show. If you opt to prepare a cut from something outside of the show, please bring a device that can connect to Bluetooth and be prepared with an instrumental backing track. We will provide backing tracks for those who select one of the preselected cuts from the show listed below.

Character Descriptions
Any race, ethnicity, gender identity, and more are welcome to audition and be considered for any role.
The following descriptions are based on information from Concord Theatricals, and while vocal ranges are accurate, stylistic choices may be altered to fit the vision and needs of this production.
MAD SCIENTIST PARENT 1 – Comic Rock Tenor (mix to E5); is out of control
MAD SCIENTIST PARENT 2 – Over-the-top Comic Belter (to C#5); is out of control and in over their head
THE MUMMY - Emo Pop/Punk Tenor (to A4); is betrayed, hurting, possibly hurting others.
MEDUSA - High Rock Belt (to A5); is afraid to let anyone in.
THE TROLL - Bari-tenor (to G4); is soulful, dangerous.
TEENAGE VAMPIRE - Jazzy Pop Belt (to D5); has met a teenage boy who’s just their type – type O negative.
TEENAGE ZOMBIE - Comic Pop Belt (to D5, opt. F5); has met a teenage boy who is good enough to eat.
IGOR - Comic Pop Tenor (to Bb4); who feels life’s purpose is to please someone like Dr. Frankenstein.
THE GHOST - Singer/Songwriter Folky Belt (to E5); is desperately trying to be seen.
THE DRAGON - Curious and furious (to Eb5); is a shy dreamer.
THE DOPPELGÄNGER - Folky singer/songwriter (to A4, opt. Db4); is charismatic, seductive, conflicted.
THE WITCH - Dramatic Earthy Belt (to D5, opt. F5); she’s been wronged, scorned, possibly healing.
THE SASQUATCH - Folky Bari-tenor (to G4); is looking for a friend, it’s dark when you’re alone.
THE YETI - Folky Bari-tenor (to G4); is looking for a friend, it’s cold when you’re alone.
THE KID – Must have a great pop/ rock voice and the stamina to be on stage for the entirety of the performance. They are a kid on the cusp of adolescence. The Kid’s reactions narrate and showcase the discoveries the audience makes while monsters tell their stories. The Kid has a secret of their own that comes out in the end.
THE SIRENS - High pop/rock belt (to E5). Strong vocalists and dancers that participate greatly in the movement and narration of these stories.
REHEARSAL & SCHEDULE INFORMATION
- Rehearsals are slated for Monday and Thursday evenings from 6:30pm-10pm and Sunday mornings from 10am-2pm.
- We will typically be rehearsing only TWO days per week, though there may be some weeks where we are scheduled for three.
- Not every performer will be called to every rehearsal, though every performer is welcome at every rehearsal.
- Rehearsals will start on Thursday, June 27th at 6:30pm.
- There will be no rehearsal on July 4th.
Conflicts
Please note ANY and ALL conflicts for Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays beginning on June 27th through the entirety of the rehearsal process; doing so is very important as this allows us to build an optimal rehearsal schedule. Your time is important and we want to respect it and use it most effectively.
Mandatory Dates
- Tech Week begins on Saturday, August 24th and extends through August 29th. A Tech Week schedule will be given closer to that date to indicate when you are called.
- Performances are mandatory beginning August 30th through September 1st.
- Strike will take place immediately following the final performance.
- We will be having a hall clean up night which will take place the week following the last show. This is a time to make sure we leave our rehearsal space better than we found it. Many hands make quick work.
- OPTIONAL ATTENDANCE – There is an after party that takes place after the strike has commenced. Details will be determined as show date approaches.
