Rehearsals:
First rehearsal will be Sunday, August 25
Sundays - 8/25-9/29 - 12-3 PM Music only, full cast called.
Sundays 10/6 up to tech week 4-7PM
Tuesday and Thursday 6:30-9:30
No Rehearsals 9/1 – Labor Day Weekend, 10/31 Halloween
Tech Week – November 1 – 7 - Dress Rehearsal on November 7
Show Dates – November 8-10
NOTE: Children in the Cast will typically be called only on Sundays and/or for the first part of rehearsals on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They will be called to a few more rehearsals when we are running the show in October. Our goal is to minimize late nights for kids.
Audition Requirements
Principal Role
• ACTING: Prepare a 1 Minute Monologue memorized to demonstrate acting abilities NOT from the show. Accents are welcome but not required.
• SINGING: 32 Bars of a song in the style of the show NOT from the show. Please bring sheet music with you for the accompanist.
• DANCING: Audition Dance (Taught one hour before your audition)
Ensemble
• SINGING: 32 Bars of a song in the style of the show NOT from the show. Please bring sheet music with you for the accompanist.
• DANCING: Audition Dance (Taught one hour before your audition)
Children
• SINGING: Will sing simple songs like ABC, or Twinkle Twinkle Little Star etc.
• DANCING: Will do a “talk back dance” where the music tells them what to do next.
Note: If parents are auditioning for the show with their children, their children can audition with them at the same time. (Casting 6-8 children ages 5-12 years old)

BABETTE: A flirtatious maid; becomes a feather duster

THREE SILLY GIRLS: A group of Gaston’s fanatical female followers who energetically pursue him in the hopes of winning.

Ensemble
We are casting an ensemble of 6-8 children ages 5-12 years old and approximately 12-18 Adults ages 16+.
Roles ensemble may fill are:
• Townspeople and their children, and enchanted objects.
• The ensemble will be busy throughout the show. There are several solo lines in songs like Belle and The Mob Song, and many great dance numbers (Gaston, Be Our Guest, and Human Again).
• The Enchantress and Young Prince, the Baker, the Baker’s wife, and the Bookseller are all ensemble members.
• 4-6 ensemble members will be wolves who fight the Beast.
